Biography
Work experience:
- Agronomy Intern at DuPont Pioneer (Summers of 2012 and 2013)
- Crop Scout at Ohigro (Summers of 2010 and 2011)
- Crop Scout at Crop Production Services (Summer of 2009)
Research experience:
- As an agronomy intern at DuPont Pioneer, I traveled all over Ohio to take data from field trials regarding crop stand and variable rate applied nitrogen in corn.
- As a graduate student in Dr. Doohan's lab, I have worked on an organic field experiment regarding weed control using various soil amendments in an attempt to test whether soil balancing ("Basic Cation Saturation Ratio") affects weed and crop populations in the field. I have also done work testing organic herbicides on various weed species in the greenhouse environment.
Current job content and research:
- I am currently continuing my work in Dr. Doohan's lab on the soil balancing project and organic herbicide project.
