Biography
Chengsong Hu is a Research Assistant working in Doug’s weed science lab. He is actively involved in many experimental activities including herbicide efficacy evaluation, crop damage assessment in both field and greenhouse environment. He used to worked part-time in OSU Muck Crops Agricultural Research Station as an Agricultural Technician. There his main responsibility is to layout and care for experimental plots in both greenhouse and field, as well as to collect data on plant performance. He is also involved in operation and maintenance of farm equipment and greenhouse. This opportunity largely extended his previous field and greenhouse research experience accumulated in Doug’s lab.
Before attending the Ohio State University, Chengsong received his bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Zhejiang University where he acquired a solid knowledge in most aspects of agricultural production, including cultivation, pest and disease management, harvesting, breeding and seed production. He also received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Zhejiang University as a result of his rigid training and extensive experience in management.
