Biography

I am currently the point of contact for the weed control efficacy experiments in the lab. I conduct research on the biology and management of weeds in crops grown in Ohio. I coordinate planning and execution of experiments, collection and analysis of data, and preparation of reports. I also supervise graduate students in designing and conducting experiments. I also meet with growers on the farm and at trade shows and produce growers meetings throughout the state to keep abreast of weed management issues.

Prior to working at OARDC, I was a research biologist and supervisor in a contract research laboratory, involved with non-clinical pharmaceutical trials. I worked in the teratology (in utero) and neo-natal development safety testing of new drugs and agricultural chemicals.

And in the distant past I worked as a lawn service technician, where I provided lawn and landscape applications of fertilizers, weed and insect controls as well as providing the expertize for keeping my customers lawn and landscape healthy and beautiful.

All of my life I have dreamed of working in an agricultural related field. I am excited about working at OARDC, which allows me to see first-hand the challenges farmers face, as well as keeping involved with research.
